چکیده

Currently, people worldwide, in the period from September to April, observe with their own eyes and feel pollution of air, called smog, breath. The biggest cause smog source air is burning rubbish stoves. Other causes include exhaust fumes large factories, coal furnaces, car fumes. Smog an unnatural phenomenon, directly related human activity. weather becoming worse. On no-wind, foggy days, phenomenon most troublesome for city dwellers. persists European countries November during heating season. harmful effect affects almost entire body. Every year, death approximately 26,000–48,000 people. At same time, poor quality reduces life expectancy by up a year. purpose this article present buildings finishing elements that can help fight against pollution.

Syntactic Structures in Research Article Titles from Three Different Disciplines: Applied Linguistics, Civil Engineering, and Dentistry

Deducing what a paper is about, titles are considered as the most important determinant of how many people will read the article. Therefore, studying the use of different syntactic structures and their rhetorical functions in titles is of great significance. The current study was set to investigate these structures used in research article titles in three disciplines of Applied Linguistics, Den...

Experimental Modal Analysis of Civil Engineering Structures

Decades ago, a major concern of structural engineers was the development and application of new and powerful numerical methods for the static and dynamic analysis of large civil engineering structures. The rapid development of finite-element techniques accompanied by tremendous technological progress in the field of personal computers allowed structural designers to use software packages for ac...

Study on Nanotechnology in Civil Engineering Structures

The innovation of relevant nanotechnology and its significance in civil engineering practice is illustrated in this paper for broadening vision. Nanotechnology deals with understanding, controlling and manipulating matter at the level of individual atoms and molecules in the range of 0.1–100 nm (10-9 m). It creates materials, devices, and systems with new properties and functions. The role of n...

Methodologies for model-free data interpretation of civil engineering structures

Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) has the potential to provide quantitative and reliable data on the real condition of structures, observe the evolution of their behaviour and detect degradation. This paper presents two methodologies for model-free data interpretation to identify and localize anomalous behaviour in civil engineering structures. Two statistical methods based on i) moving princi...

An Autonomous Computing Approach towards Monitoring of Civil Engineering Structures

Engineering structures such as bridges, tunnels, dams or towers are beginning to approach their service lifetime. To give an example, more than 20,000 bridges in Germany currently require immediate rehabilitation; similar situations apply in other countries. Thus, efficient and cost-effective structural health monitoring systems are needed to ensure serviceability and structural safety through ...
